As a Cloud Engineer within the IT team, your main responsibilities are:

• Implementing hybrid IT by integrating different cloud services with traditional data center services;
• Migrating legacy applications to public cloud services;
• Automate infrastructure via infrastructure-as-code and configuration management;
• Design and support access patterns, IAM policies and overall system security;
• Improvement and streamlining of processes and procedures;
• Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure that cloud-native workloads are deployed according to IT best practices for security, governance, identity and access management and monitoring;
• Mentor existing staff on cloud computing best practices and technology to drive cloud adoption.

Requirements

• Broad skill set in infrastructure, especially skills relating to networking and security;
• Joined-up thinking;
• Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner;
• Provide integration skills and experience to ensure the interoperability of new and existing systems;
• Scripting experience;
• Cloud platform experience (preferably with Microsoft Azure);
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (preferably with Terraform);
• Knowledge about CI/CD and git workflows;
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
