Solution Architect Document Management

As a solution architect within the Private Markets department your main responsibilities are:

  • Evaluate business document management needs and determine how those needs can be supported leveraging technology;
  • Establish and improve best practice and processes related to electronic document handling: creation, reception, storage, sharing, transmission, archiving and destruction;
  • Consult with business users to identify problems and inefficiencies in accessing and sharing documents and initiate improvements;
  • Create concepts and specifications for document management and automation solutions as a bridge between business and technology teams;
  • Play a lead role in initiation, planning and implementation of diverse projects with document management aspects; e.g. migration to a cloud document management solution;
  • Develop, implement and continuously review processes to link documents with data universe via metadata, links to reference data, inheritance, etc.;
  • Develop strategies to increase metadata coverage for existing and future documents with efficient processes / automations;
  • Train business users to use the document management system and associated tools;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding data security / document management;
  • Actively support and share knowledge with the “process and systems team”.

Requirements

  • University degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent qualification;
  • 3+ years working experience in a financial services company or with a leading consulting firm in a similar hands-on role at the interface between Business and IT;
  • Proven experience with document management systems; i.e Sharepoint;
  • Demonstrated understanding of data and information technology;
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, yet creative problem solving skills;
  • Strong communication skills and experience as a mediator to interact with all levels between business and IT teams;
  • Experience in asset management industry is considered as a plus;
  • AIIM Certification is a plus;
  • Great team player and ability to work collaboratively at various levels of the organization;
  • Business oriented and dedicated to meet expectations within a dynamic environment;
  • Self-motivated, proactive, takes ownership and shows initiative;
  • Excellent language skills in English (verbal and written), German is a plus.
