Land Affairs Advisor

Role:

As a Land Affairs Advisor, you ensure the acquisition of the correct private law rights for the construction and maintenance of assets. In doing so, you lay a solid legal foundation for our projects and help ensure they run smoothly. In this role, you will be involved in, among other things:

  • Acquiring entry permits, building rights, and usage and purchase agreements;
  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, carefully weighing your interests;
  • Monitoring developments in private law and translating them into operational risks and opportunities;
  • Legally reviewing policies and frameworks within projects.

In the senior role, you act as Private Law Project Manager for medium-sized new construction and renovation projects. In this capacity, you manage time, budget, and quality, and ensure predictable and professional execution.

  • You advise management on the implementation of new and existing policies and on the positions to be adopted;
  • You draw up project plans and budgets and coordinate them with the client;
  • You are the content point of contact and knowledge holder for one of the core processes within the department.

Required:

For this position, we are seeking an experienced professional who combines legal expertise with organizational sensitivity, a results-orientation, and a sense of ownership. You navigate with ease within a complex stakeholder environment and make a visible contribution to the further development of the electricity grid.

  • You have a higher professional education (HBO) level of work and thinking, preferably in a legal or real estate-related field;
  • You have more than five years of experience in a similar position within a technical or infrastructure environment;
  • Experience with expropriation and toleration procedures is a strong advantage;
  • You have experience leading or coordinating medium to large projects within a legal context, with an eye for diverse interests;
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch, both spoken and written.

We require both a CV and brief motivation in Dutch.

Duration: 12 Months

Location: The base location is Arnhem (1 day per week) and Hoogeveen (1 day per week). On the remaining days, you are also expected to be present at a project location in Groningen or Friesland (if residing in Groningen or Friesland, consider an average of 200 kilometers per week). 

Status: Contract (24 - 40 hours per week)
