As a driver you will essentially be the customer facing part of our business and will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service and representing our company's core values.
Duties:
- Safely transport materials to designated locations following assigned routes
- Planning delivery routes
- Overseeing and supervising loading, and ensure proper securing and strapping of loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation
- Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Required:
- A valid LGV CAT C or Class 2 license with appropriate endorsements or equivalent
- Ideally 2 - 10 years of experience, be over 25 years of age, and no more than 6 points on licence
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers
