• Lead coverage of one or more sector(s) on a global basis; conducting fundamental and ESG research;
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the sector(s) and monitor market and company developments on an ongoing basis to assess performance and the implications on recommendations;
• Produce high quality investment reports and recommend investment ideas using financial and sustainability analysis, modelling of companies, company meetings, sell-side research, expert networks, etc.;
• Create sector recommendation lists with highest conviction names;
• Present investment ideas and recommendations to portfolio managers and other analysts within the team;
• Assist in marketing-related activities for external clients in covered sector(s), from verbal or written updates to more formal presentations.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in equity research with natural interest in and passion for equity markets and sustainability;
• Investment experience of 5+ years in an equity research role on the buy-side or sell-side;
• Relevant work experience in companies linked to industrials, energy transition, impact and financials (insurance, financial services) is a plus;
• Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment process;
• Excellent accounting/finance skills, ideally with CFA accreditation or similar;
• Proven financial modelling skills and an understanding of how to value companies;
• Excellent English writing and communication skills, including personal or professional experience in an English-speaking environment;
• Self-starter personality, highly motivated with an international mindset.
