  • Carry out cross-project environmental and stakeholder management, including issue analyses and concrete interventions where necessary;
  • Establish and maintain an overview of the most important stakeholders in North Brabant and actively maintain contact with them;
  • Develop, maintain and implement the regional SOM-COM plan (environment & communication) and, together with the regional communications advisor, ensure actions that strengthen our reputation;

  • A proactive attitude, natural leadership and a solution-oriented mindset;
  • Knowledge of and a network in North Brabant is a clear advantage;
  • You are enthusiastic and driven to work with your colleagues on the energy transition.

Important Information:

A team consists of environmental managers and communications advisors, spread across various regions (provinces) in the Netherlands. These are overseen by a regional director and a regional communications advisor. The candidate will be deployed as a regional director and will be responsible for the North Brabant region. North Brabant is a complex province in terms of complexity.

The regional director will address supra-regional themes. This includes preparations for the energy boards, the translation of national themes and issues, provincial grid visions, grid strategy, congestion issues per province, etc. The regional director will handle these and translate them. This concerns more important, strategic themes per province. Also consider the director's briefing and annotating for administrative meetings, where the regional director will also participate in the preliminary discussions.

Given the demanding nature of the role, the candidate must have specific experience in the energy sector. A highly experienced/skilled environmental manager with several years of strategic experience (a strict requirement!), for example, at Rijkswaterstaat (the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management) or ProRail, is also eligible. The candidate must understand the administrative structure of the Netherlands. This includes, for example, meetings with aldermen.

Location: 2 days a week Arnhem, 1 or 2 days a week appointments in the North Brabant region (where we also have an office), other days remote.
